Missions
Leader: Bruce and Ginger Stovall

FBC strives to constantly be on mission and in a variety of ways...

  • Locally we have the Cisco Food Pantry, serving hundreds of families each year, and we also have "Homework Helpers" which is an after-school tutoring program held at the church by several of our retired teachers.

  • Every Christmas FBC commits to serve children around the world through giving gift-filled boxes through the mission of Samaritan's Purse.  The endeavor is called "Operation Christmas Child".  For more information on this wonderful ministry go to http://www.samaritanspurse.org/what-we-do/operation-christmas-child/ .

  • Annual Spring Break Mission Trip to Mexico (for more info, contact Bruce Stovall)
2013 Border Ministry PPT

  • Annual Youth Mission Trips for students 7th-12th grade  (for more info, contact Paula Fisher or Kelly Branham).  Also, for the first couple of months leading into the cold season (beginning in Nov/Dec) our students commit to "Jackets for Jesus", a simple collection ministry of new or lightly used/clean jackets for all ages.  Those jackets are then given to our clothes closet ministry for distribution.

  • Annual opportunities to give above and beyond the tithe to missionaries involved with the International Mission Board, the North American Mission Board, and the Texas Baptist Missions endeavors.

GO AND TELL MEXICO!
Recently our sister in Christ and fellow missionary, Mary Yarborough, came and spoke during the Sunday School hour about how the Lord has been moving in the area of Mexico in which she ministers.  What a great testimony from such an encouraging soldier of Christ!  She continues to minister on the frontlines in a very challenging part of the world and she humbly asks for our continued prayers.
To learn more about her ministry, to let her know of your prayers, or to personally support her efforts to expand the Kingdom visit her website at:
