I was born and raised in Anson, TX. Graduated from Hardin-Simmons in 1973, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1976 with a Master of Divinity degree, then in 1992 I graduated with a Doctor of Ministry degree. I've pastored churches for 40 years, starting in Memorial Baptist in Taylor, then Belmont Baptist in Abilene. I then pastored at First Baptist in Seymour for 7 years, and then Colonial Hill Baptist Church in Snyder for 20 years. I am married to my wife LaQuita, and we have two daughters, Amanda and Laura
